Care Certificate Nominated Person

Each person involved in direct care with a person who is new to the role is expected to complete the Care Certificate which replaces and builds on the National Minimum Training Standards and the Common Induction Standards. The Care Certificate is a key component of the total induction which an employer must provide legally and in order to meet the Essential Standards as set out by CQC and to meet regulation 14 - “Supporting Workers.” This course will allow you to nominate up to 6 Senior Staff to be able to deliver and assess the Care Certificate.
Aim:
To provide all participants with the knowledge to be able to deliver and assess the care certificate in-house.
The course content:
The course is divided into five modules and includes an assessment at the end:
• What the care certificate is
• The 15 standards
• How to carry out assessment
• How to record evidence
• How to quality assure and get further support
Certification:
A certificate of attendance is awarded on completion of the course; this is subject to satisfaction of the instructor and at the end of the course assessments.
Course fee:
£POA including a maximum of 12 staff members
